Etienne Terblanche on Chenel - as a grape wine variety

Chenel, a South African developed grape variety, celebrated 50 years since 1974 when it was developed by Prof Carl Orffer.

Etienne Terblanche from VinPro shared his views on the role of Chenel and niche varieties in South Africa. Springfontein winery in Stanford, Hermanus, hosted the celebration as they are the only producer bottling the Chenel as a single variety bottle, where at other farms it is used for blending only.
