Wellington Wines - ABSA Pinotage 2020

What do you get when three iconic wines merge together?

An exciting newborn with a legendary history. Francois van Niekerk, Cellarmaster of Wellington Wines, describes their Pinotage as a wine with a big structure, but with well-rounded tannins. “We aim to produce a bold wine, a wine that can age.”

The 2018 La Cave Pinotage aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and is the most planted cultivar in Wellington Wines. Thus it’s no surprise to hear the La Cave Pinotage range is a prestigious name amongst the collection. Expect notes of prune, berries and cherries to stroke your palette.

Have you tasted the La Cave Pinotage yet? How would you describe your experience?
