This is a small single vineyard Barbera planted in 2004. The wine was made in traditional open top fermenters with manual punch-downs. we played bagpipes and cello (obviously not at the same time) to the barrels to harmonise the tannin and give stability to the colour. It was always going to be a special wine - right from the start. We chose the best barrel for the auction.
