With a donkey and a few ducks on the farm, Beyerskloof was born in 1989.
Anri Truter is the fifth generation winemaker of this family vineyard and has been perfecting their pinotage since 2007. The story behind the name Beyerskloof is just as amusing as the farm’s history.
Therefore they are proud to produce a Reserve that is a step up from their normal pinotage, specifically handled in a way to present more colours and terminated fruits.
Their Premium Pinotage originated when Anri and his father envisioned a wine that would show present pinotage in its best form and labelled it Diesel.
Anri regards the Pinotage as the pinnacle point of Beyerskloof. “We have the white pinotage blend, a pinotage port, lovely facilities with pinotage patties and even pinotage salami!”
