Allesverloren Winemaking Team talks to wine.co.za

The estate dates back to 1704 and produced its first wine in 1806. It has been in the hands of the Malan family for five generations. The present owner and winemaker of this 220-hectare estate is Danie Malan. Having planted port varietals, Danie’s father attempted to make wine from the same cultivars, producing a Tinta Barocca that has since become well-known and well-respected, making it on to many a prestigious wine list and into many a collector’s cellar. Similarly, Danie has successfully experimented with another port varietal Touriga Nacional. Armand Lacomme and Danie Malan talk to wine.co.za about their wine range.
