At the entrance to the Garden Room at our Spier Hotel, you’ll find a quiet moment in mosaic. Created by John Murray in collaboration with HUB Mosaic Studio and Spier Arts Trust, The Garden Wall began as sketchbook studies of Cape fauna and flora. These small, tender observations now frame the space, inviting visitors to pause and notice the finer details of the natural world. It’s a reflection of Spier’s ongoing conversation with nature, expressed through art.
