WineLand Media, in collaboration with ROTOCON, honoured 30 movers and shakers in the South African wine industry at Leopard’s Leap in Franschhoek.
The 30 young professionals were honoured during a special luncheon on Thursday 15 June. The luncheon offered attendees the chance to network with other like-minded young people and significant industry figures. SA Wine CEO Rico Basson and Kachné Ross from Winetech were also in attendance.
WineLand Media dedicates its June issue every year to recognise the most promising young professionals in the South African wine industry. Our inbox has been flooded with nominations this year. “At WineLand we want to understand the aspirations of young people working in the wine industry,” says WineLand Media editor, Wanda Augustyn. “We want to know what they're passionate about and how best to empower them to make the most of new opportunities, and become active and productive citizens not only in the South African economy, but also in the wine value chain.”
