Cederberg Wines
Spirits soar as the sun rises earlier over the mountains, illuminating the kloofs and valleys below. The temperatures rise too and outdoor adventures under blue skies beckon.
Mornings start with luscious summer berries and the juice of sweet, ripe mangoes dripping off chins and hands, to be rinsed off by taking a dip in a crystal-clear rock pool.
Come sunset, it is time for a glass of chilled wine as the smell of campfires and delicious meals sizzling on the coals marks the end of another perfect day… High up in the majestic Cederberg mountains, the early grape varieties gradually begin to ripen in our remote, disease-free vineyards.
On the southern coast, strong winds blowing in from the ocean cool our vineyards near Cape Agulhas, ensuring beneficially slow ripening. Soon the grapes will be checked daily so that each variety is harvested at optimal ripeness to produce our beautifully balanced wines. Our super-talented winemaking team got together to taste and deliberate before selecting an assortment of wines that encapsulate the summer season.
