Distell Inter Hotel Challenge at the Regional Cook-Off

Junior chefs, bakers and wine stewards of some of South Africa's top hotels have competed for top honours in the 7th annual Distell Inter Hotel Challenge mentorship competition program. After 6 months of rigorous preparations and mentoring efforts, 28 teams from 32 hotels had the honour of participating in the final cook-offs in the initiative, which some have described as "Oscars" of South Africa's hospitality industry. Despite generous prizes being offered up, skills development and education are considered the true awards.
