In a world first, South Africa has become the only country to certify wines from vineyards older than 35 years as Heritage Vineyards. Globally there is more interest in wines that come from old vines because of its small quantities and high quality. The Old Vines Project has embarked on finding, protecting and promoting such vineyards.
