Ken Forrester Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc has long and very interesting history. It is widely believed to have been established in the Anjou region of France as long ago as the ninth century and was probably known then as Chenere. The variety was renamed Chenin Blanc after Mont Chenin. I was renamed in the 15th century soon after being exported to the Touraine region in the Loire Valley. Ken Forrester prides themselves in continuing and keeping this rich history alive and well in South Africa with their blend of Chenin Blanc. Shaun, Ken Forrester’s Assistant Winemaker had this to say about their win as “Best Chenin Blanc”at the recent Cape Town Experiences Awards 2019
