Johan du Preez: CEO and Andre van Dyk: Cellarmaster - Game Reserve Wines

The Game Reserve introduces wine lovers to a concept that is both unique and uplifting - a wine brand truly committed to caring for and celebrating our precious natural environment. It is one of the only wine ranges in the world to be tangibly connected with a private nature reserve where the land is nurtured in its pristine natural state. For each single bottle sold, a portion of the funds are re-invested into vital conservation projects in southern Africa.

The award-winning Game Reserve Wines have been distributed by our network of distributors and agents in South Africa since 2016, and currently a network of global agents and importers.

Our sales team works via a network of global agents and importers, while bottle labels will continue featuring previous the previous owners’ Graham Beck brand name for two years.

"This development is a natural progression of our active growth strategy, brand essence and culture of conservation,” The CEO, Johan du Preez, said.

Situated in the Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy, Rooiberg boasts a 54-year history and shares its dedication to quality wine production in harmony with nature and to the best interests of the community.

Rooiberg is ISO 9001 and HACCP accredited and a certified Organic Producer of wine, as well as a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative (BWI). It is registered for Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) and holds Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (Wieta) accreditation.

“We are in a unique partnership with Wilderness Foundation Africa. For each bottle of Game Reserve sold globally, a contribution of R3 is made towards Wilderness Foundation Africa’s conservation and education programmes throughout Africa - the benefits of which support biodiversity and cultural, scientific, economic and spiritual values. To date, more than R3 million has been contributed to the Foundation.

"This internationally registered brand fits ideally into the higher end of the Rooiberg portfolio,” said Du Preez.
